Fitness... From The CoreShelley graduated with a BA in Psychology from Salve Regina University and holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. She started her career as a clinical psychotherapist working with children, adolescents and families. She has formed and facilitated many therapeutic support groups. She left her private practice so she could spend more time focusing and raising her children. It was during this time that Shelley discovered the many benefits of a regular exercise practice.
Inspired by her own personal transformation she wanted to bring fitness with a mindful approach to others. After completing her study of exercise physiology and nutrition, she went on to become a NSCA-CPT personal trainer. Shelley brings to her client a whole body concept to losing weight. She believes that healing must come from the inside out. She utilizes her skills and experience to help clients better understand their behaviors and the emotions that are keeping them from achieving their goals.
Shelley provides motivation, support and solutions that are necessary for her clients to create a lasting life style of wellness. In addition Shelley is a 200 hour RYT certified yoga instructor. Her love and personal journey of yoga continually inspires her to bring the benefits of an inner state of peace to others, whether it is a class of 50 or an individual session.
